Good morning!
A couple of days ago, our girls switched up their horses. Both of the girls' horses have completely different styles and purposes. So, we wanted to encourage our 12-year-old to learn on a new style of horse.
Initially, things went well. She had her controlled and was just working on slow work. However, after about 10 minutes, the horse wanted to go faster, and my daughter started feeling a bit anxious. She didn’t want to go beyond a trot because she was giving her a bit of an attitude.
She said, "I think I’m good and am going to get off." As the mama, I agreed, saying, "Good idea, let’s switch back."
Well that’s when Josh softly stepped in and encouraged her to stay on and try loping again, advising her to be stern and make the horse listen to her.
I could tell my daughter was super nervous and near tears. If I’m honest, I had to look away. I didn’t want her to be uncomfortable or scared. But as I looked away, all I could hear was my husband saying, "I’m right here. It’s ok. You got this. I believe in you, honey."
At that moment, tears welled up in my eyes. I felt the Lord whispering to my heart, 'Rachel, this experience mirrors your own journey. Just as Josh is gently encouraging them through challenges, I too encourage you to embrace difficult moments. It's through these trials that you grow.'
Even now, I get emotional thinking about it. God desires to see us grow, mature, and become stronger and more confident in our own journeys.
So, if you’re here today and things are uncomfortable, a bit scary, maybe somewhat unsure or uncertain, let me assure you-God is right beside you! You aren’t alone! He has a great purpose for where you’re at. I can promise you that!!!
May we all embrace challenges with courage today because each step forward is growth with His unwavering support!!
Hope your day is a good one! Thank you for being here!
