Daily Devotionals

Sweet Friend,
This is a reminder that you are valuable.
YOU.
Messy, imperfect, you.
Not just the photo-shopped, perfect make-up, have-it-all-together you.
The you that doesn’t make the highlight reel.
The you that makes a lot of mistakes.
The you that was really hurt by someone, or was rejected by someone.
The you that feels unworthy.
The God of the Universe loves every part of you! There is nothing you can do, or have done, or has happened to you, that changes your value in the eyes of your Heavenly Father.
Isn’t that amazing?
Just like the crumpled up, slightly torn $100 bill pictured here, your value doesn’t change. A messy $100 bill is worth the same amount as a crisp and clean $100…
And so are you valued by God in all of your imperfections.
Psalm 139:13-18 tells us:
“You made all the delicate, inner parts of my body and knit me together in my mother's womb.
Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex! Your workmanship is marvelous-how well I know it.
You watched me as I was being formed in utter seclusion, as I was woven together in the dark of the womb.
You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed.
How precious are your thoughts about me, O God. They cannot be numbered!
I can't even count them; they outnumber the grains of sand! And when I wake up, you are still with me!”
God has precious thoughts about YOU!
So many precious thoughts that you can’t even count them!
You are valuable to him- no matter what.
Today, I invite you to take a deep breath and exhale. Bask in the steadfast, unchanging, overwhelming love God has for you. Take a minute and think about all the things in your life that he loves about you- it’s a long list! He made you on purpose and he sees you as infinitely valuable.
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for loving me with a never-ending love. Thank you for being unconditional in your affection for me. I am in awe of your mercy. Help me to grasp the truth today that my value doesn’t change based on my performance, or my mistakes or my successes. Grant me the wisdom to understand that I am valuable to you no matter what. Help me to love others the same way.
Amen
We are better together.
