Daily Devotionals
Tuesday, September 3, 2024 (Aminta)
My boys start school today! It’s the beginning of a new year at a new school. Both of them have had lots of feelings and much anxiety swirling the last few days as they thought about the first day.
We have been talking and praying together, asking God to help guide and protect them, as well as to use them to be a light in the dark.
Each year, we set a theme verse for the year… a sort of mantra to guide our goals and actions. For 2024-2025, our verse is:
Micah 6:8
“Hear, O Israel, the LORD has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.”
Do justly.
Love mercy.
Walk humbly.
That’s our goal!
To do the right thing.
To love others unconditionally.
To serve God and those around us.
So simple, but so good!
Sweet Friends, can I invite you to be intentional today to do those three things? Do your best to make time for what pleases the Lord!
Heavenly Father,
Thank you for loving me with a love that never fails. Thank you for knowing me by name and having good things planned for me. Please send your Spirit today to help me walk according to your will. Give me the courage to do justly, and help me have the mercy to love others like you do, and create in me a heart that is full of humility to surrender to your ways. I desire to please you!
Amen.
We are better together!
