For the last nine months, my husband and I have been supporting a family we love, walk through some very difficult things. There is absolutely no way that nine months ago we could have predicted the way things would be today. Which means, today there is absolutely no way we can predict the way things will be nine months from now!

The truth is, I don’t understand what is happening with this family. It doesn’t make sense to me! Some things seem like they are for the better, some things definitely seem like they are for the worst.

But God knows and it DOES make sense to Him!

Scripture tells us, and I truly believe, that God has already orchestrated every single detail to unfold at exactly the right time, with exactly the right people, in exactly the right place. But nowhere in scripture does it say that this will look perfect, be easy, or feel wonderful.

As challenging as the unknowns can be, I have actually been finding great comfort in the Lord through them. In the things that feel uncomfortable, like change, or bring sadness, like loss – I believe God is at work and is making all things NEW 🙌🏻

Keeping this reminder at the forefront of my mind has been the best thing I can do to support this family and to keep my heart from breaking into a million pieces everytime I am given new information. Without trust in God, I am instantly filled with worry, fear, and sadness and all my hope is lost.

But with trust in God, I can rest assured knowing He isn’t going to stop guiding this family for even one second! With trust in God, I believe good things are coming! With trust in God, I believe the future for this family is BRIGHT!

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths.” Proverbs 3:5-6

Ladies, today I invite you to share in this trust!

Give him your worries, fears, and doubts – knowing He is working on them!

Trust him with the unknowns in your life and believe that good things are coming!

Prayers for blessings to fill your weekend,
🤍Ashley
