A couple of years ago I was introduced to the idea of praying Bold Prayers! 🙌🏻

It was surprisingly brought to my attention that this could be a controversial topic due to some people feeling that it was selfish to ask God for blessings in their lives. But the main argument for encouraging Bold Prayers, was to acknowledge how powerful God truly is!

• Why only ask God for an apple when He created every single produce plant?

• Why only ask God to rid you of your cold when you can ask him to rid every toxic cell in your body?

Yes, I am all in favor of asking God for Bold Prayers! You see when we ask God for BOLD PRAYERS, we are complimenting Him by acknowledging just how powerful and mighty He really is!

He is the creator of the Universe!

He knows the end from the beginning!

And He is capable of EVERYTHING and ANYTHING!

While working through this week’s Bible Study homework, I was reminded of this previous lesson when Bible Study teacher, Megan Marshman, instructed me to look up verses to persist in prayer. Take a look at these four scriptures and allow your heart to meditate on them…

🩷“But when you pray, go away by yourself, shut the door behind you, and pray to your Father in private. Then your Father, who sees everything, will reward you.” Matthew 6:6

🩵“And so I tell you, keep on asking, and you will receive what you ask for. Keep on seeking, and you will find. Keep on knocking, and the door will be opened to you.” Luke 11:9

💜“Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises. Are any of you sick? You should call for elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord.” James 5:13-14

💛“And we are confident that he hears us whenever we ask for anything that pleases him.” 1 John 5:14

Wowza! These verses had me RUNNING to our Heavenly Father in prayer. In fact, I sat quietly for about 10 minutes and asked God to deeply search my heart for prayers that I didn’t even know I had.

Sister, I encourage you to do the same. Open your heart to the Lord today and give Him your greatest desires, concerns, requests, and worries!

He can handle them and He longs to hear your Bold Prayers from the deepest parts of your heart!
