Good Morning, Ladies and Happy Friday!
This week, our family has been preparing for an annual Fall gathering we host at our house. Family and friends come for food, yard games, and a hayride and as any party, there is always prep work that needs to be done
Yesterday I had planned to have a full, productive day of checking off all the things. But as it happens, I woke up feeling under the weather
This little cutie (pictured ) not only took care of ME but did her best to help with many of the tasks on my to-do list. I am ever so grateful for her nursing skills, her willingness to help, and her determination to go above and beyond
As I laid on the couch, doing my best to give my body the rest I know it needed, I couldn’t help but think of how many things I take for granted!
It’s often not until something doesn’t work as it should that we even give it a second thought, am I right?
For instance, I run around day after day, not thankful at all for my gut health but yesterday when it felt like I was being brutally stabbed in the abdoman, my stomach feeling better was the ONLY thing on my mind.
Later in the evening, my husband was picking up leaves and ran out of gas for the lawn mower. All the tanks were empty and he had to run to town. It seemed like such an inconvenience at the time but how blessed are we that we have machines that make our work easier and can afford and have access to the resource that makes them operate?
And finally, as I threw in a load of laundry, I made a mental note to remind my husband that the dryer door doesn’t always lock shut and probably needs a new piece. It can frustrated me to sit there and take an extra 2-3 minutes to get the door to shut in order to turn the dryer on. But am I really serious? I have a washer and dryer inside my home that allows the task of laundry to be easy-peasy
Regardless if it’s your health, your fuel, or your appliances today, take a moment to THANK GOD for all the blessings he surrounds you with daily
Let’s not wait until things don’t work as they should to be grounded in gratitude over them.
And if something isn’t working properly, we have the powerful blessing of coming to our Father with arms wide open in prayer!
Have a beautiful weekend -
