Tis the season As Minnesotians, we know the snow is coming, yet it still seems to invoke some strong reactions, doesn’t it?
We have people cranking Christmas tunes while others are googling rental properties in Florida –

Which are you??Yesterday, our puppy Leroy had his first ever run in with winter weather!
At first, he was very timid. He stood nervously at the open door, taking it all in slowly.
But once he took his first leap, he was sold! There was no hiding his excitement as he ran through the yard at top speed. I think it’s safe to say, Leroy is on Team
This got me thinking about our FAITH
As Christians, we know what the Bible says about this world, yet there are situations that still seem to invoke some strong reactions among us, don’t they? (Can anyone say “election”?)
“I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trails and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world.” -Psalm 16:33
Non-believers can be timid about the Gospel … standing nervously at the open door, taking it all in slowly.
“Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone – especially those in the family of faith.” -Galatians 6:10
And new-believers are often SOLD! There is no hiding their excitement!
“Don’t just pretend to love others. Really love them. Hate what is wrong. Hold tightly to what is good.” -Romans 12:9
Regardless of which winter weather team you’re on
vs – you were aware that the snow was coming! Just like, as Christians, we know how this story ends, Jesus is coming back!This is not our forever home!
So…
Let us take Heart – He has overcome the world!!
Let us spread the Good News to those who don’t yet know Jesus with love and patience!!
Let us encourage New Believers to run at top speed for Christ!!
