Daily Devotionals

Good morning!!
You’re probably wondering why I’m sharing a picture of some china. Well last weekend, my family and I stopped by an estate sale. The yard and garage were filled with tools and equipment. But I wanted to see what was inside:) So the estate sale lady graciously allowed us a sneak peek inside before it opened to the public.
As we walked in, we were a little taken back. The couple who lived here, well into their 80s, had just moved into assisted living, leaving behind a lifetime of belongings. This house was huge and it was packed from floor to ceiling with everything they’d collected over the years. As we entered the dining room and saw the beautiful china, the estate lady shared something that hit me hard! She said the lady of the house had come back that morning and walked through the house and couldn’t stop crying. She was wanting to take more with her. But she couldn’t, there just wasn’t room in her new place.
In that moment, my daughter looked at me and said, “Mom, this is so sobering. We leave this earth with none of this.” And it really made me pause. All these things—collected over a lifetime, each piece carrying a memory or a story—are left behind. It reminded me that our time here is about more than filling our homes or striving for that perfect Pinterest look. It’s about filling our lives with love, building memories, and focusing on the people who matter most!
So let’s remember to cherish our loved ones and the time we have, making our days rich with what we carry in our hearts, not in our hands
Hope you have the best day!
