Daily Devotionals
Wednesday, May 15, 2024 (Paula)
Recently, my hubby and I attended a Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA) night of Champions at our son’s college.
This is an outreach ministry that includes equipping student athletes to become disciples of Jesus and lead others this way as well.
One of the highlights of the night was when they passed out bracelets at the banquet tables and had the student athletes at each table explain how this tool is used to simply share their faith on and off campus. Wear the bracelet and let others ask what it means.
I love practical tools, so I thought I’d share the meaning with you. Perhaps you’ll find it a useful guide in your near future.
I was blown away by some of the stories these students had about simply engaging others in a simple conversation about faith.
The Four
1) The heart.
God made you. God loves you! His love is unconditional and boundless. God is real and he wants you to personally experience his love and discover his purpose for your life through a relationship with him.
2) Division.
Our sin is what separates us. It damages our relationships with God, and with other people. The judgement of sin is eternal death.
3) The cross.
Though perfect and sinless himself, Jesus willingly died on the cross offer himself as a sacrifice for our sins. He Rose again to New Life. He conquerd sin and death. Peace with God is offered as a gift of grace, through a personal relationship with him. Jesus saves, and in him, we have eternal life after death.
4) ? The question
Now what? Now that you know this, what action will you take? No action at all is also a choice. Jesus offers us an invitation- he doesn’t force us to choose him. Are you ready to place your trust in Jesus? No one is promised tomorrow. Your decision today can literally affect you eternally. Surrender, confess your sin, and declare your belief in the One True God.
The FOUR ,, , ?
Every God-story has a beginning! Perhaps YOU will soon have an opportunity for a conversation with someone. A conversation can change the trajectory of a life!
Always be prepared!
1 Peter 3:15
“In your hearts set apart Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect.”
Remember The FOUR as a helpful tool to guide you!
Better Together!
